Interested in becoming a market vendor? Here's some information you need to know.
The 2010 Markets have three categories of vendors. Fees are for one market (Saturday or Sunday).
- Full Season
- May 1 through October 30 (Saturday Market)
- May 2 through October 31 (Sunday Market)
- Half Season
- First Half—May 1 through July 31 (Saturday Market)
- First Half—May 2 through August 1 (Sunday Market)
- Second Half—August 7 through October 30 (Saturday Market)
- Second Half—August 8 through October 31 (Sunday Market)
- Occasional
- Minimum of 4 Saturdays/Sundays - Vendor chooses Saturdays/Sundays when submitting application and payment. This category is not available to produce sellers and is especially suited to artists and craftsmen.

General liability insurance is required for all vendors.
Please note that yard sale/flea market vendors are no longer permitted in the Saturday or Sunday Markets.
Please note -- The Downtown Fairfax Coalition (sponsor of the Farmers' Market) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is prohibited by Federal law from engaging in political activity which includes participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for public office. In addition, the Coalition is generally not allowed to attempt to influence legislation.

The markets are solely for the sale of fruits and vegetables, foods, arts and crafts, and other consumable products. Final approval of vendors rests with the Downtown Fairfax Coalition. Because product diversity is essential to a successful market, the Downtown Fairfax Coalition reserves the right to accept or reject any vendor.
Political merchandise (buttons, t-shirts, bumper stickers, posters, etc.) from past, present, or future campaigns and literature (brochures, flyers, leaflets, etc.) that promote a specific political or legislative agenda cannot be sold or distributed at the Community Market.
