As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Downtown Fairfax Coalition is prohibited by Federal law from engaging in political activity which includes participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for public office. In addition, the Coalition is generally not allowed to attempt to influence legislation.
